About this experience
Get a surf instructor all to yourself for 90 minutes on Tamarindo's beginner-friendly beach break. The session starts with a short briefing on the sand and then gives you more than an hour in the water, with coaching built around your goals, whether that means standing up for the first time or polishing your technique.
Individual attention is the quickest route to progress, and it is also the format the school asks children 12 and under to book, so young surfers get a dedicated instructor and plenty of time on the waves. Instructors are bilingual, and the school has been teaching on this beach since 1989.
Your soft-top board and rash guard are ready when you arrive, along with a locker, changing room and showers. Plan to be at the shop 15 minutes before your start time. Lesson guests also get 50% off surfboard rentals for the rest of their stay.
